TLM ...not quite 300 miles to the mass of tradition!
TLM at Our Lady of the Valley, La Grande Oregon is 170 miles away. Every Sunday at 3PM.Markhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00485659115314688797noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31669215.post-19140831928958501612011-01-06T18:41:55.465-07:002011-01-06T18:41:55.465-07:00Jon, I can assure you there were times (before we ...Jon, I can assure you there were times (before we discovered the TLM in Nyssa) when I was sorely tempted to go to the Society. But the priests of the Society are under suspension, they do not have faculties from the local bishop (even if Rome says we can attend their Masses and receive Holy Communion), and I greatly fear setting myself on a course -- however attractive -- that takes me out of the Church.

What I really want is liturgy in the Extraordinary Form at a parish of the diocese, where all the priests have full faculties and no canonical impediments. I wish that our local shepherds would find it in their hearts to provide these.Anita Moorehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11305092097247290243noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31669215.post-77418843241193372882011-01-06T14:29:51.244-07:002011-01-06T14:29:51.244-07:00Anita,

My family and I were members, and were I deprived of the TLM, I'm sorry to say I'd have to move.

In the interim, I'd have no qualms about attending the SSPX chapel. Enough statements have come out of Ecclesia Dei and the CDF to stifle any concerns of conscience I once had. As a matter of fact, when visiting my in-law's on Long Island, the family and I always attend the Society chapel. There's no nonsense.

Do what you must, and my prayers are with you.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31669215.post-1808638106436054262011-01-05T22:15:43.863-07:002011-01-05T22:15:43.863-07:00Did you know Fr.
