We skipped autumn in MN this year. My favorite season...GONE! Went straight to a hard freeze, snow overnight Friday-Saturday, so with the wind on Saturday and cold temps, all the leaves on my street are now on the ground. What is usually breathtakingly golden this time of year is now bare and skeletal.
And we're getting about 3-4 inches of snow tomorrow. :-( It's way too early for this! I want my autumn back!
You know summer is well over when irrigation season ends. The canals are running dry; winter will soon follow.
