"Victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory however long and hard the road may be; for without victory there is no survival." Winston Churchill, May 13, 1940
The destiny of mankind is not decided by material computation. When great causes are on the move in the world...we learn that we are spirits, not animals, and that something is going on in space and time, and beyond space and time, which, whether we like it or not, spells duty.Winston Churchill, radio broadcast to America on receiving the honorary degree of Doctor of Laws from the University of Rochester, New York, June 16, 1941
What did you expect? The idi-ats in my state think that voting for Stuart Smalley is a good thing.
ReplyDeleteThey also voted to raise my taxes by $60.00. People are losing their homes, and the taxes aren't making it easier. Case in point....I purchased my home almost 5 years ago for $133,000. It's now worth about 120,000 (down about a grand from last year), and my taxes have gone up about $700.
WHERE do these people think my money is coming from? The imploding economy that takes everything I make so I can't pay for myself?
Oh...right...the socialists have been in charge for a couple years now. That's why.
Stuart Smalley won't even allow votes to be private...maybe he thinks feelings might be hurt if someone else is clearly more popular than others.

To the rest of America...I apologize for Minnesota voters. They have their heads in the snow.

ReplyDeleteOh...I had thought of a different location where they must have their heads...
Off topic: Boise State is going DOWN this weekend! Go Pack!
ReplyDeleteClearly, the voter must have been changing his mind and was really going to vote for Franken since they went outside the lines. OR they simply flunked Coloring Book 101 in kindergarten and have been going downhill ever since. Would you believe this is Minnesota's idea of a hanging chad?
ReplyDeleteWhatever it is, it's more of the same. Remember what happened to B-1 Bob?
Cygnus: I went to U of I anyways. :P
ReplyDeleteNorm, clearly we live in an age where an alarming number of people think a procedural rule (like, say, don't color outside the lines) trumps a susbstantive right (to vote). This is back asswards.
Anita ~ What...you think snowpack can't get up that far into the anatomy of these people?
ReplyDeleteWell...I guess it perfectly illustrates the old saying, "doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground"...
